Sony Patents Dual Sensor Camera System

A patent has been published which depicts a Sony designed dual Sensor camera system. The Patent describes a system which uses one sensor to capture near Infra-red light and to capture far Infra-red light, with the aim being to produce an extremely natural looking image. Dual Sensor cameras have begun to appear on smartphones, such as the Huawei P9, but so far they have tended to use one color and one monochrome sensor to allow the capture of composite HDR images.
