Tamrom Patent 70-200mm F/4 for Full Frame Systems

A patent has been published which depicts a Tamron 70-200mm f/4 VC lens for full frame camera systems. The lens, if it makes it to production would be expected to be available for Canon, Nikon and Sony systems and features image stabilization. Canon and Nikon both have their own 70-200mm f/4 lenses; the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens and Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/4G ED VR Lens, but they cost over $1000. Perhaps Tamron can bring their effort to market with a lower price-point, which would make it appealing to budget minded shooters.
