Olympus OM-D E-M1 II Registered in Taiwan?

A new Olympus camera has been registered with a government radio agency in Taiwan, along with a new battery, charger and USB cable. The camera is code named Olympus/IM002 and rumored to be the forthcoming replacement of the OM-D E-M1. The same camera was registered with the Indonesian Telecommunication Agency earlier in the month, so Olympus certainly have something on the boil!


The inclusion of a new battery, charger and cable in the registration is perhaps an indicator that the new camera will be getting a larger battery, but we will have to wait and see if this turns out to be the case.

If this camera is indeed the OM-D E-M1 II then the registration represents one more step towards release, so keep your eyes and ears open as the frequency of new rumors inevitably increases!
