GoPro to Offer Effected Karma Buyers Free Hero5 Black Edition
In attempt to restore some good Karma (I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself) following the Karma quadcopter debacle, which saw a number of GoPro’s new drones tumbling uncontrolled from the sky, the action camera giant is making moves to repair relationships with the 2,500 customers effected.
The recently announced drone was recalled following a number of instances of inflight failures resulting in a dangerous and uncontrolled plummet to destruction. Those who have had to return their Drone are being gifted a free GoPro Hero5 Black edition, a shrewd manoeuvre by the company who will be desperate to lock new users into their eco system before they jump ship to other drone manufacturers. I’m sure GoPro hope that gifting customers a free GoPro5 will increase the likelihood of them waiting for the Karma to return to shelves once the issue has been resolved. Market leaders DJI are killing it at the moment however, and many jilted Karma fans must surely be tempted by the competition.
