Sony Roadmaps Medium Format Sensor Development

Sony Roadmaps Medium Format Sensor Development

Sony have shown an official roadmap of the development of their range of medium format sensors. Included in the roadmap is a 100MP BSI sensor which many are claiming is destined for use in the Fuji GFX 100s. The sensor in question is not due to be available until 2018, and as such any cameras using the sensor would arrive after that, possibly not until 2019. Will the same sensor see action in a Hasselblad X1D 100c? Check out the official roadmap PDF HERE.

1) New 100MP 44x33mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Fuji GFX and X1D)
2) New 150MP 55x41mm Medium format Back Illuminated sensor would be announced in 2018 (for the kind of cameras like the Phase One 100XF).
3) New 150MP 55x41mm Medium format Back Illuminated monochrome sensor would be announced in 2018
