What Will Canon Bring to CP+ 2018!?
CES is over and done with for another year, so we can wave goodbye to the smart toilets, robots that cannot fold clothes and other such fantastic odities, it is time for a real photo show!
CP+ is just around the corner, and unlike CES, which is trafitionally rather quiet for Canon, CP+ is usually anything but…. Here is what we are expecting to arrive from Canon for this years show.
New Entry Level DSLRs
We are expecting a grand total of three new entry level DSLR’s from Canon this year. Certification leaks have already proved the existance of the EOS 3000D, EOS 4000D, and EOS Rebel T7, so it is a safe bet that all three will arrive in the run up to, or during CES 2018. Expect your general iterative upgrades with 24.2 DPAF CMOS sensors all over the place!
Canon EOS M50
Canon are due to drop another member of the EOS M family this spring, likely called the EOS M50. Expect the camera to also feature the 24.2MP DPAF CMOS sensor, along with some midrangeish features and capabilities. Think baby M5 complete with the built in EVF.
New Powershot Cameras
Both the Powershot G5X and Powershot G3X are due for an update this year and we reckon CP+ is a prime timefor this to happen. This may well be a case of exactally how far can Canon push their 1″ sensor game, because without chucking in 4k for good measure there isn’t a lot of wiggle room for Canon to improve here. There is one trick they could pull out of their hat though, we reckon we will gee our first generation od 1″ DPAF sensors for stills cameras at CP+ this year.
We will endevor to bring you plenty more coverage as things progress, so stay tuned folks!
