Sigma has released details of a new fast 30mm prime for Mirrorless camera systems, the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens. The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 has has been a hit in Sigma’s line-up for a while and will now also be available for users of Sony E-mount APS-C, and Micro Four Thirds systems. Panasonic has announced a new zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras, the Lumix G 12-60mm f/3.5-5.6 POWER OIS. Just Announced: Nikon Reveals B500, B700 and A900 Coolpix Cameras

The DL series of compacts weren’t the only super portable cameras announced by the Nikon this week. The B500, B700 and A900 Coolpix models will also be hitting the shelves soon. The B500 is a 16 megapixel superzoom with a f/3.0-6.5 40x optical zoom, or 22.5mm-900mm, 35mm equivalent. Exciting news for video creatives today as Sony have announced the PXW-Z150, a new professional 4K XDCAM camcorder. The PXW-Z150 utilises a 1-inch sensor capable of capturing 1080p video at up to 120 frames per second, mated to a 12x zoom lens which in combination with the sensor can offer 18x zoom at 4K and 24x at 1080p. Sigma has caused quite a stir in the photography industry this morning by announcing their first mirrorless cameras, the sd Quattro and the sd Quattro H.
