Fuji May be Working on an XF 50mm F/2.0

According to the latest information, reported via fujirumors, Fuji are working on a new XF 50mm f/2.0 lens. Fuji’s current XF prime lineup features the XF 35mm f/2 and the XF 56mm f/1.2 R, but the rumored XF 50mm f/2 would certainly come in at a lower price than the 56mm unit. New EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Will be USM

We reported last week that Canon are currently working on a replacement for their popular EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. We are expecting the lens to be released in time for Photokina in September this year, and the latest information to surface via canonrumors suggests that like it’s predecessor, it will feature a USM style motor as opposed to STM, so expect fast auto focus performance, but whether it will be quiet enough for video use will remain to be...

Canon Patents EF-M 9-17MM F/3.5-5 STM

Canon has patented a new ultra-wide angle lens for their line of EOS-M mirrorless cameras. The EF-M 9-17mm f/3.5-5 STM features a stepping motor, so if this lens is destined for release then Canon are seemingly keen for it to be appealing for video shooters as well as photographers. The current native widest EF-M lens available is the EF-M 11-22mm f/4-5.6 IS STM so the patented lens would plug a useful gap in the current lens line up. Check out the translated patent details below: Patent Publication No. 2016-85259 Published 2016.5.19 Filing date 2014.10.23 Example Zoom ratio 1.79 Focal length...

Canonrumors are reporting that the forthcoming, much anticipated Canon Eos 5D Mk IV is currently undergoing testing by a number of Canon ‘preferred’ photographers. There has been talk of 4k capture at 60fps, which is unconfirmed but would be a boon for...
