Nikon DL Series Compacts Delayed Until November

Bad news for those eagerly awaiting the arrival of the DL Series of premium compacts. Due to disruptions caused by the recent Kumamoto earthquake in Japan, Nikon has had to delay their release until later in the year. Nikon isn’t the only camera manufacturer to have to delay releases due to the recent earthquake, with component suppliers in the region needing time to get their operations back up and running after the disaster. Tony Northrup has posted a pretty comprehensive review of the new Nikon D5 on his Youtube channel.
