Hands On With the New Hasselblad X1D Mirrorless Medium Format Camera

Earlier today, Hasselblad launched the first medium format mirrorless camera and a new lens lineup to go with it. B&H Photo clearly had some time with a pre-release version, and they’ve put together a great hands-on video. Particularly impressive is the touchscreen interface. To me this is where camera UIs should have been five years ago.

I’m personally a little underwhelmed by the 44×33 crop sensor size on this camera, it’s not full frame medium format, but I tip my hat to Hasselblad for the stunning physical design and this beautiful interface.

Pre-order your Hasselblad X1D from B&H Photo for $8995.  Shipping in late August/early September.
