A patent has been published showing details of a Fuji XF 16-55mm F/2.8 With OIS. This is the first time we have seen OIS in a relatively wide lens from Fuji, who have claimed in the past that OIS can cause a loss of resolution around an images edges when used with wide angle lenses (the previous XF 16-55mm F/2.8 had no OIS). Fuji must have now come up with an optical formula and OIS system that negates these issues as an F/2.8 XF lens would rightfully be expected to be of high quality. Check out the details below:
