Canon Patents Reversible Lens Technology

A Canon patent has been published which shows the company are working on at least one lens with mounts at both ends. Reversing a lens allows you to use it as a macro lens, but traditional adaptors to do so have no electrical connectivity and therefore functions such as AF and aperture control are lost. The new patent by Canon shows a lens with fully functional mounts at both ends, therefore no loss of electrical functionality. This is a great concept, lets hope we hear more soon!
