Canon Announce the EOS M6 Mirrorless Camera

Canon have officially taken the wraps off the new EOS M6 today, and as expected it is very closely related to the EOS M5 which was released late last year.

The M6 features the same 24.2MP Dual-Pixel CMOS sensor as its big brother and performance wise they are nigh on identical. The key (and obvious) difference here is the lack of built in EVF, canon instead opting for a removable EVF accessory, the EVF-DC2 (see below). The EOS M6 features a built-in pop-up flash and relocates the mode dial to the right hand side of the top-plate, where the EOS M5’s multi-function mode dial is located.

  • 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • DIGIC 7 Image Processor

  • Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 60fps
  • Built-In Wi-Fi with NFC, Bluetooth
  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF
  • Up to 9 fps Shooting and ISO 25600
  • Combination 5 Axis Image Stabilization

  • For EOS M6/M3, PowerShot G1 X Mk II/G3 X
  • 0.39″ 2.36m-Dot OLED

The EOS M6 is available for pre-order right now, in either black or silver, and bundled with either the EF-M 15-45mm or 18-150mm lenses. The EVF-DC2 is also available for pre-order, both will ship on 30th March. Grab yours from the following links:
