Panasonic are Working on a Successor to the LX100

In a recent interview with DPReview Yosuke Yamane from Panasonic provided some insight on where the manufacturer are focusing their development heading into the late 20-teens; The company are committed to providing 8K video solutions by 2020, and will apparently be focusing the direction of their camera business on high-end mirrorless devices. This comes as no surprise given the overwhelming success enjoyed by the GH series of cameras.

Mr Yamane also confirmed that the company is developing a replacement for the popular LX100, and although no further details were forthcoming, the prospect of a new high end point and shoot from Panasonic is indeed exciting!

We will be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for further news on the ‘LX200’
