Nikon D820 To be announced July 25th?
Only yesterday we covered news of what Nikon may have planned for their 100th anniversary celebrations this month, and rumors have now surfaced suggesting that the firm may announce the long awaited replacement for the D810!
There is no doubt that Nikon will have a press conference on the 25th, the exact date of their anniversary, so we can’t point to that as proof of a D820 announcement. We will instead be listening very closely over the next 2 weeks for leaks and information.
The D820 is shaping up to be a very exciting camera indeed, and an important one for the struggling Japanese manufacturer. Here is what we know:
- The camera will be called D820 (D850 is still a possibility)
- 45-46MP sensor
- Improved low and high ISO
- New and improved version of SnapBridge
- No built-in GPS
- Tiltable LCD screen
- Memory card slots: one SD and one XQD
- AF system from the D5
