Sony Announce the RX10 IV!

Sony have yet again pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes and managed to announce the RX10 Mark IV. I’m going to stop waxing lyrical about their sneaky release skills from now on because you can pretty much guarantee that every Sony release will be pretty ninja.

The RX10 IV is the company’s latest Super-zoom featuring a 20.1MP 1″ sensor mated to a 24-600mm f/2.4-4.0 Zeiss Sonnar lens. The headline feature though? The RX10 IV can focus in 0.03 seconds and capture 24 fps with full AF/AE tracking; according to Sony this makes the Rx10 IV the World’s fastest focusing camera. Add that to native 4k and you have a pretty powerful little camera:

  • 20.1MP 1″ Exmor RS BSI CMOS Sensor
  • BIONZ X Image Processor & Front-End LSI
  • Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* f/2.4-4 Zoom Lens
  • 24-600mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • 2.36m-Dot OLED Tru-Finder EVF
  • 3.0″ 1.44m-Dot Tilting Touchscreen LCD
  • UHD 4K30 Video, Full HD 1080p at 960 fps
  • Fast Hybrid AF System with 315 Points
  • ISO 12800 and 24 fps Continuous Shooting
  • Built-In Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

The RX10 will be up for pre-order in 2 days time for $1,698.00 so be sure to keep an eye on the following links!
