Fuji X-H1 Coming on February 15th

If the latest rumors are to believed then Fuji will be dropping their hybrid video/stills camera, the X-H1 on Febuary the 15th. Aimed squarly at the likes of the GH5 and new GH5S, the X-H1 will include improved video capabilities than it’s X-T siblings. Check out the rumored specification below:

  • 24MP megapixel X-Trans III sensor
  • X processor pro
  • Fujifilm X-H1 Faster Autofocus Than Fujifilm X-T2
  • 5 Axis In Body Stabilization
  •  4K, 1.17x crop, 30p, 4:2:0 8 bit 200 Mbps
  • Internal F-Log
  • “4K Photo” photo mode / Timelapse
  • High Resolution EVF
  • Fujifilm X-H1 same battery of X-T2, the NP-W126S
  • Shipping  will start in February 2018
  • Price $2,000
  • New Film simulation Eterna coming with X-H1

It will be interesting to see how far Fuji can steetch the video capabilities of the 24MP X-Trans sensor. It is already deployed in various fuji units, so perhaps the big news here are the video biased codecs and the 5-Axis IS. Will this be enough to sway those who already have X-T cameras? We will just have to wait and see.
